Hello! If you’ve landed here, then you’re probably wondering what this website is all about. We started this website at the end of 2019 as a place to collate and celebrate the fantastic dog friendly businesses in Sheffield. 

If you’re a dog owner and you’ve tried using national dog friendly websites, then like me you’ve probably been a little fed up that they simply don’t cover many places. Many of these websites will only list a place if they pay to advertise, which I think negates the idea of it being a useful website. So it has always been our goal to offer a free listing first and foremost so that we feature as many Sheffield businesses as possible. We do offer opportunities to work with us further as well.

What we developed was a local website for local people (very League of Gentlemen), local businesses and those visiting the Steel City. We’ve built a community on social media of local dog owners who are always looking for somewhere near to visit whether that is a dog-friendly pub, a dog-friendly cafe or even just walks near Sheffield.

We firmly believe that there is a benefit to any business considering going dog friendly. Dog owners help fill in that awkward day time lull for pubs, as well as picking up hot drinks and snacks from local cafes on their walks. We’re a city of dog owners, we’re the Outdoor city – so why not connect our fantastic independent businesses with those looking for somewhere new to visit?
