The government’s new ‘Eat out to Help Out’ scheme (let’s try and get past the name) is aimed at getting people back out and enjoying local pubs, restaurants, cafes, and bars. So we’ve collected together all the fantastic dog-friendly venues on our website that are taking part for you to check out this August. First of all, let’s go over some of the basics:
What is Eat Out to Help Out?
Here’s everything you need to know:
- The scheme runs every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from August 3rd to 31st 2020
- You’ll get 50% discount on food and non-alcoholic drinks when eating in to a maximum of ยฃ10 discount per diner
- Dine as often as you like on the given days during August
- No minimum spend
- No voucher required
- No discount on alcohol (nice try!)
- Discounts automatically applied at participating venues, these venues can then claim a reimbursement from the government for the discount they’ve given you (so you don’t need to feel too cheeky!)
Why You Should Support Eat out to Help Out
Lockdown restrictions are easing and venues are opening up again, this is arguably a more uncertain time for many restaurants, cafes and pubs than during lockdown because now they need us to come spend with them to keep going. It’s hugely important to support our fellow Sheffielders and their venues.
Eat our to Help out gives you a fantastic opportunity to:
- Eat for less at your favourite spots
- Try somewhere new at a fraction of the cost
- Get adventurous with your menu choices knowing you’re making a saving
Why not try vegan or vegetarian? Visit somewhere you’ve never visited before, you never know you might find something that you love.
