Did you know that you can create a personalised profile for your pet on Amazon? It’s something i’ve stumbled upon recently and I have to admit, I initially thought – why? It turns out you can provide dietary requirements, as well as other details and Amazon’s algorithm will pull together recommendations specifically for your pet based on your choices. Why not give it a try?

As I’ve mentioned in some of my posts, my dog Eddie has a number of allergies that can make buying food quite difficult (he currently has a delicate balance of three different types which together seem to balance out and work out for him). So the idea that recommendations can be made based on his very specific dietary requirements opens up more choices for us to try with him. This is what came up for Eddie on his profile:
You can even select preferences for toys (balls, squeak toys etc) and it’ll recommend toys in the same sort of way.
One thing that did stand out though was a section dedicated to specialised dog coupons to use, which I’d not seen just by browsing the pet section of the website:
It’s not often you can pick up a discount code or coupon for Amazon, so I was quite interested in this section. Always worth checking if you can pick up something a little cheaper when shopping for your dog. All you need to do is select ‘collect voucher’ on your chosen offer and for most of them, the discount will happen at the checkout. Just a warning though, some of them are for Amazon subscribers only, but these are clearly marked.
